Remember 5-year-old Pierce’s fantastic Mad Science birthday party last year? Well, this year he turned 6 and had a Wild Animal birthday celebration, and I was invited to capture the event once again. So much fun!

Oh, how time has flown! I have been photographing Felicity every three months since she was born, and it was so much fun and such an honor to share in her first birthday festivities last month. Here are a few of my favorites from the day. Be sure to check out the full slideshow at the bottom!

You may recall that my friend Kate Dawson has an amazing one-woman show called The A**Hole In My Head that I have photographed a few times for her (pics from the Triad and Birdland), and I even paid a visit to the recording studio to document the process of making her cast recording CD. I squealed when I picked up my copy of the CD at last Sunday’s performance of the show – it is full of my photos! Check it out:

It’s the first time my photos have been used as CD artwork. How fun is that?! (The cool cover photo was taken by Kate’s husband Jed, and the other five photos are mine.)

You can catch Kate one more time at the Duplex on Christopher Street this Sunday night, and I encourage all of you that live in the NYC area to go see her! She is phenomenal! And if you can’t make it out to see her in person, you can always order a copy of the recording on her facebook page.

You may recall that last year I posted some photos from my friend Kate’s fabulous one-woman show, The A**hole In My Head. On Monday, she reprised her show for a special one night only performance at the renowned Birdland in Manhattan, and I was thrilled to photograph the event for her. Kate is one of the most beautiful and talented women I know, and the show was a total triumph. I think A**hole needs to do a long-term run somewhere – what is this “one night only” thing?!

Last night I had the pleasure of shooting Rachel Kramer Bussel’s In The Flesh Reading Series at Happy Ending Lounge in NYC. It was Media Sex Night, and she had a fantastic line up of readers – I occasionally had to remind myself to stop laughing and pick up the camera! Last week I had the pleasure of photographing Pierce’s 5th birthday party. He had a Mad Science party. How cool is that?! This was the first time I had shot a kid’s event, and it was like a wedding reception on speed! Little kids sure do move a lot faster than grown ups do!

My beautiful and talented friend, Kate Dawson-Cohen, has written a one-woman show that is currently in it’s second encore run at The Triad in NYC. Her show is called The A**hole in my Head, and it is brilliant! I went last night and photographed the sound check and performance, and it was also the first time I got to see the show. I was blown away! If you are in the NYC area, you absolutely must go and see this show! There are three dates coming up in November and you can get the details on her facebook page and also on Broadway World.
